The Library of RRISL at Dartonfield was established in 1953 with the responsibility of servicing the information needs of the rubber sector. As a branch Library of the Headquarters Library, the Colombo Office Library at Ratmalana was setup in 1975 and the literature collection on rubber technology was shifted to the Colombo Office Library. The prime objective of the library is to provide promptly appropriate information to scientists, extension officers and general public to do research and to perform their work efficiently.
Major activities of the Library
Collecting, disseminating of information on natural rubber and related areas.
Maintaining processing and publishing of institute’s regular publications.
Participation in AGRINET activities.
